Hi Mr.Victor Bailey and your fans! I've just get Slippin'N'Trippin' CD!!!Wow, i like it!!! Like everytime it is fantastic music! THX! BTW are there somewhere lyrics for Like A Horn? I love sound of your bass!!! Fat, but readable, clear!!! I little miss some sax, or other melodic instrument, and Billy's drums could sound better, BUT its GREAT song...and that's wery important for me as a fan...DREADSPEC...:-) Lukas Marecek P.S.: I hope to see you on some concert in Czech republic...

Thanks I'm glad you lke the record.About your comments. My idea for this record was to just feature more of my bass. All of my previous cd's have had lots of special guests, sax players, guitar players etc.,and just a couple of bass tunes.I felt it was time to just feature more of myself, for a change. As far as the sound,as in Billy's drums,I agree. Please remember this is the first time I'm releasing my own cd.Which just means,to tell the truth, that I don't have the money that I would have had from a record company. To mix in a world class New York studio would cost at least $1000 a day,and a top mix engineer can cost the same.Because every song is so different,I would mix one song a day, which I was able to do with a record company budget. But I didn't have the budget for a bunch of mixing days at that price. So I agree with you that the sound could be a little better in some cases. But as a new "record company" I did the best I could afford. It's gives me a lot of satisfaction to know that there are cats like you who wlll just listen to the music in spite of any shortcomings. Thanks for your compliments. Victor B

Hello Victor and other funkin' bassplayers! Now I understand that thing with sound! Funny is, that when I listen it over and over...that sound problem is out, cause I adapted my ears for that great music...I felt in love especialy with "I Wonder", "Alfie", "Like A Horn" (nice vocal harmonies!). Cool stuff! Countdown is unbelievable! When Mr.Carter comes, my bottom is up! :-) What about lyrics of Like A Horn? BTW i know its "your" 1st release...Be sure that I'll buy next one! HEALTH, PEACE AND LOVE! Lukas Marecek aka Marastaman

Me want to play me bass for you,to find a different space that's new I'd like to create something cool and warm I'm gonna play this bass for you Like A Horn No valves no reeds no bells no keys, yet I'll play any melody And make it feel just like when love is born I'm gonna play this bass for you Like A Horn Be it cool articulation or jazzy modlation When ths bass gets to talkin' it will be improvisation
