"I've been through many diffrent amps over the years, but what I've always looked for was something that would give me the sound I was making on the bass, instead of the amp sound. One night at a big festival gig I had to rush on stage and plug into the first thing available which was a Hartke 3500. It was the best bass sound I ever had! So clear, clean and well defined that i couldn't believe it. After the set I went to see what the settings were and to my surprise the eq section had been turned off and I was just playing through the preamp. I have used this amp and this setting ever since. I just balance the low pass and high pass filters to match the room and I'm in heaven every night!!!.
